Annick works for a company in the fashion industry and decides to quit her job to go into business. His goal: to make a handbag with a system of integrated lights. An idea she had following a work experience she had when working in a locker room in a restaurant-bar on Boulevard St-Laurent in Montreal. Annick decides to add new skills to her training in fashion design. She, therefore, decides to register at the Montreal Leather Trades Center to deepen her knowledge in the manufacture of leather bags.
Annick, therefore, continues, in her own way, a tradition already well established in the southwest sector of Montreal (St-Henri), known for generations for its many tanneries, including Elpro International, specializing in leather and travel items. It is, therefore, no accident that Annick opened her first workshop-boutique there ... it is here that time stands still, and that she brings her passion to life!;
To reinvent the handbag with simplicity, she obtains the financing for the prototypes, then a patent, thanks to the support of specialists. Castonguay Électronique, a local supplier, is the ideal partner in this adventure.
Annick's appearance on the show "Dans l'Oeil du Dragon" was a great experience for her and gained visibility. It was thanks to this passage that she was discovered a few months later by a private investor.
This meeting will propel the company to a higher level.
Annick participates in the Montreal "Salon des metiers d'Art" as well as Plein Art in Quebec. This new launch in artisan's fairs allows it to get to know its customers better and improve its product offering.
The company obtains financial support from PME Montreal as well as Canada Economic Development to ensure its growth. The designer perseveres in research and development with a project of chic and comfortable style shoes.
It was in February 2020 that Annick proudly opened his first store located at 138 Avenue Laurier West in Montreal. Come take a look in the store for more model choices and meet Annick!
